A Responsible Hosting
At MCH, we aim to create experiences that make a difference – not only for guests and partners but also for people, communities, and the environment. That’s why we are certified according to the international standard ISO 20121, and we continuously work on new and more responsible solutions across the entire organization.
Sustainability at MCH is about much more than climate. Among other things, we have:
- Started installing intelligent lighting control (+6,000 light tubes) – 75% completed by 2025
- Optimized the HVAC system
- Purchased CO₂-neutral and renewable wind energy
- Reused waste heat from freezing and cooling rooms in kitchen dishwashers
- Ensured craftsmen use electrically powered vehicles
- Focused on waste sorting to maximize material recycling
- Procured local ingredients and prioritized animal welfare in our kitchens to support both the environment and local communities
One of the new initiatives is that, across all trade shows, we omit aisle carpets. Just at the HI Expo, this results in a reduction of over 41 tons of CO₂ – equivalent to approximately 136 round trips between Copenhagen and London or over 37,000 km in a car.
